Star Flight Training - Roanoke, VA (KROA)

Know a future aviator? Get them started off right! This flight training experience is real pilot training that has been simplified and tailored to the level of the student, taught by actual pilots and instructors, right here at Roanoke's flight school. Our goal is to build a foundation of knowledge and pilot skill that will be beneficial and applicable should they decide to pursue flight training when they're old enough to get a pilot certificate.

Students learn core aviation subjects like aerodynamics, aircraft systems, airport operations, navigation, aircraft performance, and weather. Hands-on activities in and around real airplanes help reinforce the learning and keep things fun.

Flight training is conducted in our full-motion flight simulator and includes real flight training activities where they will learn the basics of flying an airplane, airport operations, stalls, steep turns, ground reference maneuvers, cross-country flying, and all the other cool stuff we do when training to become pilots.

At the end of the course, they prepare for and take a checkride similar to what they'll see on an actual FAA checkride. Additional specialized and advanced courses are available to those who have completed the initial course.

Course Length: 10 lessons
Cost: $100 per lesson (Includes all materials, simulator time, instructor, etc. Payment due at end of each lesson.)
